I’m Tom – a full time guitar & bass teacher with over ten years of experience helping people of all ages learn to play and enjoy music. I’ve taught everyone from primary school children to teenagers, busy adults, and retirees and currently teach in five schools in Leeds. I studied music at Leeds Conservatoire for my BA (Hons) and went on to complete a Masters at the University of Leeds.

I’m genuinely passionate about teaching music, and I believe learning an instrument can do so much more than just teach you notes and chords. It can build confidence, boost self-esteem and help shape a strong sense of identity – especially when you start to find your own style and sound.

Alongside teaching, I’ve played in bands for years and compose music for TV, which keeps things fresh and hopefully helps to inspire students to achieve as much as possible on their instrument.
